When life gives you a boar...

...you make the best-g*d-damn beef steaks ever...

Since Andy shot a wild boar a couple of months ago, we needed to take care of the meat. We did make stock from the bones and we've prepared all the nicer meats such as the fileet and steaks. But we also need to ground all the "other" meats into minced meat.

Our brilliant but really old Kenwood stand mixture. It has been Andy's grandma's machine and she had it for atleast 15 years, and Andy's has it for around 10. The colors aren't beautiful, orange and blue - but it works like a charm. I love it. It has a grinder included which is really cool.
Grinding around 3 kg of boar and  3 kg of moose.
We prepared our sides at the same time and we just wrapped some asparagus in bacon and seasoned with salt, pepper and olive oil. Frying these or making them in the oven are brilliant. Very yummy!
Packaging all of the meat in handy portion sized packets. These are a mix between boar and pork.
Making dinner - beef patties, button mushrooms, asparagus sides and a lovely cream based sauce.
Dig in...
