@ Berget & A2 summer place
A weekend at my childhood friends boyfriends summer house. It'll be awesome but surely we'll be missing Grevinnan and Jugge, who are in India.

Lunch
From Damernas Värld
Really nice Suede ancle boots with a nail as a heel. From ACNE, 4500 kronas about $550. The only problem is how the hell do you walk in them?
@ our hunting grounds... in Manntorp
Building hunting perches (small towers built by/in a tree, where the hunter sits waiting for the animals to come into range). Unfortunetly the weather sucks and the wind is really blowing cold... But as we say in Sweden (partially to make us feel alot better about our crappy weather) "there is no bad weather, only bad clothes..."

Never go shopping hungry...
Need to do some grocery shopping and then go home and make dinner, but we both realized that we were really hungry. So a short stop at the gas station and hot dog later and we're good to go... Maybe we wont buy the entire store now cause we're hungry :-)

Kolmården Zoo
On Saturday, Andy, Hansson and I went to Kolmården Zoo - we had previously decided to only take a drive through the Safari-park and due to the weather on the day, I was glad we did. The rain was pouring down, and it was too wet even to have the windows open - therefore the pictures are somewhat blurry at times.
I love going to the zoo since I'm such a animal-lover and I was longing to see the newborn giraff Mowgli - so I was in bliss...

I love going to the zoo since I'm such a animal-lover and I was longing to see the newborn giraff Mowgli - so I was in bliss...
Roe deer buck - Isn't he a beaut!
Red deer buck - magnificent.
European Elk - a young bull
Roe deer - Females and fawn
Giraffe (reticulated) - the "leaves" are always greener on the other side of the fence
Waterbuck antilopes
Leshwe antilopes
Chital deer
Little newborn giraffe Mowgli
I love zebras and I love this picture that Andy took. The zebra is just peeking over the rock...
Lord of the hill...
Ankoli-Watusi-cattle with giant horns native to Africa.
Eland and a giraffe.
Blue Wilderbeest - with thier little babies. Funny because Wilderbeest is my brothers nickname =)
Alpine Ibex - goats whom jump around the mountains as if they were on a trampoline.
Eurasian Brown Bear - Winnie the Puh's cousin
Then came the Bears and the Wolves - and in that enclosure it was absolutely forbidden to open the windows and doors and I guess it's for a reason, since last week a Bear attacked a car in the park. So I tried to take a picture of the bears, about 2 meters from the car, through the window and the rain... Not so good... But they were so cute...
The Wolves were no where to be seen, but we spotted another bear up on the shelf of the cliff - the Wolves where probably nearby...
Lion - again through the window of the car and through the hellish downpour.
Beatuiful animals and I love spending time at the Zoo!

Chilies
When Hansson came on Saturday, he brought me two chili-plants, one Hot Lemon and one Cayenne. I was thrilled and I'm longing for the time that it'll bring fruits.
Thank you Hansson!!!

Dinner
Grilled fileet with potato gratin and grilled button mushrooms. Spending the evening with my baby and Hansson - the best of company.
Predicament
At the gun range, and really need to use the bathroom. But they've locked the door to the out house. It's not like I want to walk around in the bushes right here...!

First skeet I've ever shot and I distroyed the clay pigeon. I rock :-) but we don't have to say what happened later ;-)

Sjöjungfrun / The Mermaid

It took me about 20 hours to finish the book The Mermaid by Camilla Läckberg who happens to be one of my favorite writers. She writes well and makes you just want to continue reading until the story is finished. I couldn't put the book down. Exciting and enjoyable - all well in K's land of reading.

Mördad, fastfrusen i isen.

Movies x3
The other night we rented 3 movies - Arctic Outbreak, Daybreakers and The Men Who Stare at Goats. We wanted easy movies, nothing to heavy and that's exactly what these were.
Arctic Outbreak
Val Kilmer is a polar bear scientist and a eco-warrior trying to find a solution to Global warming, happens to find something that can kill the entire human race.
From IMDB:
I can't really say that it's a great movie, but it's a good lazy day movie - entertaining and it was worth watching. Not a movie I'd watch again but I was entertained =)
Daybreakers
Daybreakers: 2019 and the human race is close to extinction, the world is now run by vampires, who need to find a human blood substitute to survive. Leading the research is Ethan Hawke's character. It's a movie with quite a few large names: Willian Defoe, Sam Neil and Isabel Lucas.
I liked the movie, it was, again, entertaining, and I like Ethan Hawke, William Defoe and Sam Neil. Sure it might not have been the greatest Vampire-splatter movie I've seen, John Carpenters Vampires - is in a class of it's own =), but it was well worth watching. All in all, I liked it and I liked the story...
From IMDB:
The Men Who Stare at Goats
I loved this movie - this is so my type of movie. The movie is a quasi-war-movie with really wierd bits, but at the same time it's funny and strange and I was just hoping the whole time that it was almost as real as it could be. George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacy are some of the actors just to name a few. It was funny and it is well worth a watch. I want more movies like this, quasi-comedies, that are just different - if I didn't know better I would have thought that it could have been another Cohen Brothers masterpiece - but it was a Grant Heslov movie.

Arctic Outbreak
Val Kilmer is a polar bear scientist and a eco-warrior trying to find a solution to Global warming, happens to find something that can kill the entire human race.
From IMDB:
At a remote Arctic research station, four ecology students discover the real horror of global warming is not the melting ice, but what's frozen within it. A prehistoric parasite is released from the carcass of a Woolly Mammoth upon the unsuspecting students who are forced to quarantine and make necessary sacrifices, or risk infecting the rest of the world.
I can't really say that it's a great movie, but it's a good lazy day movie - entertaining and it was worth watching. Not a movie I'd watch again but I was entertained =)

All in all, I liked it and I liked the story...
From IMDB:
In a world 10 years into the future, vampires make up the vast majority of the population with only 5% of the human race remaining. This presents particular challenges as the vampires' food supply - human blood - is dwindling and rationing is now the norm. There is growing evidence that vampires deprived of an adequate blood supply are themselves evolving into wild, vile creatures that attack anyone and anything in order to survive. Dr. Edward Dalton, a vampire and hematologist who works for a pharmaceutical firm, has been working on finding an artificial blood supply that will meet the vampire society's needs. He is sympathetic to humans and sees his work as a way of alleviating their suffering but his views on finding a solution change considerably when he meets someone who found a way to transform himself from being a vampire to again take human form.

From IMDB:
A reporter, trying to lose himself in the romance of war after his marriage fails, gets more than he bargains for when he meets a special forces agent who reveals the existence of a secret, psychic military unit whose goal is to end war as we know it. The founder of the unit has gone missing and the trail leads to another psychic soldier who has distorted the mission to serve his own ends.

Östermalmsmorden / The Upper-Class Murders
Betyg: K K K / 5K
A couple of weeks ago I finished Östermalmsmorden / The Upper-Class Murders by Lars Bill Lundholm, it's the first one in the fiction series about murders in different areas of Stockholm investigated by Detective Axel Hake. A good story altough somewhat long winded. They have been translated to english.

Movies
First we thought that we might go to IKEA and when that idea was scrapped, we thought we'd go to the movies. But we didn't find anything we wanted to see. So we ended up going to the movie-rental-place and renting 3 movies. More on them in a couple of days... Enjoy your evening!

Design treasures
A couple of really beautifully designed packaging for light bulbs. I found these while looking through one of our smaller storage spaces and found these design treasures. Unfortunetly todays packagings are much more boring, less colorful and less designed. I wish todays packagings would be better... I guess maybe you think I'm being silly, but I love beautiful packaging and beautiful design. What do you think? Wouldn't it better with slightly more designed packaging?

Flowers
I've really started liking flowers, previously I didn't - because I didn't really understand them and I guess I was slightly scared of them. But this year I have really tried to make sure that I learn and that I've even grown some of my own flowers - sunflowers to be exact. Pelargonium has become some of my favorites - a specially since I was able to keep them over winter from last year. They have grown largely now, the picture is from 1 month ago, but I think they are really beautiful, don't you?
