This weekend was a cooking weekend. We tried some old favorites and we tried some new recipies. Some weren’t worth talking about but some are. Like our roasted nuts. I took peanuts and placed them in a warm frying pan, then I seasoned them with spices such as paprika powder, chili powder, strong chili and ancho chili (the amount is different from person to person). Then I let the nuts roast (careful not to burn the nuts) for acout 10 minutes. The nuts become quite soft. Let them rest for 10 minutes and the harness of the nuts come back as well as a stingy flavor. Very very yummy! Much more fun that plain peanuts or just bought chili nuts.
