XXX party

Last saturday our friend A3 turned THE BIG 3-0!!!



He invited us to his XXX-party and eventhough we had our second move that day we had to help him celebrate his birthday...



We arrived in the decorated appartment and to a beautiful and pregnant C and a happy happy birthday boy A3.



Lots of friends to chat with and two lovely Smörgåstårtor (a sandwich cake) made by the birthday boy. The first one with prawns and salmon...



The second one with rost beef and sharp cheese.



And then there was lovely mousse cake for desert.



And as the evening went on the party started.



We said our goodbyes early since we were knackered. We wished A3 the best birthday ever as we strolled home in the beautiful Stockholms night...

Saturday breakfast

Breakfast at Lindahls, but not our usual place but at the original one on Repslagargatan.



It's quite different than the other one much more retro. But they still have the amazing baked goods.



But we weren't really there for the baked goods but for their lovely sandwiches.



The interior is slightly old but still in good shape.



Coffee station.



We ordered a coffee each, plain for Andy and a café latte for me.



My foccaccia with philadelphia cheese and parma ham, grilled and topped with a giant kaper. Served with a sallad and rhode island dressing.



Andy's panini with philadelphia, sun dried tomatoes and red onion. Served with a sallad and rhode island dressing.



A nice breakfast with my favorite!

Muurikka

We've just lit a fire to make tonights dinner on a Muurikka, which pretty much is a Finish wok.

Sing Thai

We've stopped off at Sing Thai for some lunch.



All of us grown-ups ordered Two small dishes which pretty much is that you get two different kinds of foods, in this case chicken satay with peanut sauce and Basil curry beef served with rice. (It's a very common typ of dish in Sweden, either 2 or 3 small dishes)



And for desert deep fried banan with vanilla ice cream.



This is a weekend offer that they have for 129 kr and the three small dishes for 199 kr.

The chicken satay was very tasty but the basil curry beef needed more flavoring.

Fika

Fika (A swedish term for "having a coffee") with JayJays homemade kanelbullar (cinnamon buns) and coffee.



The boys are working on stripping the flour, roof and walls off on the terrace and shed. The weather is beautiful and we're having a great day with the kids.

Saturday morning

We've gotten up early, Andy at around 6 a.m. and me at around 7 a.m. And we decided to have breakfast in town before going to the J-family at around 10 a.m.

It's a beautiful morning with the sun shining and around 12 C. I'm seriously longing for fall...

TV-dinner

Dinner infront of TopGear. A sauce from fridge-leftovers and spaghetti...usually the best kind of sauce.



Made with red onion, bacon, feta, cream and spices... Yum!

Friday lunch should be something special...

Friday lunch should always be a little celebration for the comming weekend...



Andy and I made grilled chicken filet with potato gratain served with baby spinache, cocktail tomatoes and a chili bearnaise.

Frukost till Robinson

Brekkie - MiL has gone to work and is leaving for Lund later today to meet up with FiL and Dr. SpiderPig. So we're having breakfast on the couch infront of an episode of the Swedish Survior, Robinson.



Soft boiled egg with Swedish caviar and a cheese toast...



Not an every day thing but really nice though!

Good morning

I've woken up quite early today at the in-laws house, with a husband who-came-home-late sleeping beside me. I don't want to turn om my reading light because it'll wake Andy... So instead I'm watching the sun go up between the trees and through the pull-down curtain.



The picture doesn't do it justice since it really is quite pretty!

Coffee at Lindahls

Andy dropped me off in town so that I could get some errends done before I meet up with my MiL (Mother-in-Law) to make our back to their house. Andy has an meeting and will be back at their house later on.



I have done all I need to do and I'm just sitting down for a cup of coffee at Lindahls while I wait. I'm kind of tired since I've gotten up around five both today and yesterday... A quick coffee at a café always makes me happy ;-)

Varje år kommer Blossa ut med en starkvinsglögg och i år är smaken: Kaffe, specifikt Arabica från El Salvador.

Flaskan är snyggast hittills och jag skulle helt klart köpa glöggen bara för flaskans skull, eftersom jag inte är så jätteförtjust i starkvinsglögg.

Schick razors advertising

I'm a huge fan of smart advertizing. When I was younger I collected ads from Absolute Vodka and Camel. Those brands were my absolute favorite, they had such a smart, playful and wonderful vibe to them and were beautifully made.

Ain Sukhna @ The Red Sea

Both my parents are now in Egypt for their vacation and I hope they have a really relaxing time. I just spoke to them this morning and they are leaving for The Red Sea and Ain Sukhna for some R&R. Since I haven't been down to Sukhna yet, all I know is what I've been told and seen pictures of and I'm in awe of the beauty of the place...

Mom and Dad have a fantastic time and promise to do some swimming for me... =) 

P.S I'm not at all jealous ;-)
